Sam Ly
Sam got into collision repair in his native Calgary in 2006 as an autobody technician. In 2010 in the wake of a nasty recession, he left to try his hand at several ventures. An escape room experience facility he started with friends in 2013 is still running. In 2017 he moved to Vancouver to rejoin the collision industry as an estimator with other chains until being hired by Craftsman in June of 2021, becoming Manager of our Main Street location in 2022. “We’re in the business of helping people with their problems,” says Sam. “People come in here upset and worried about their vehicles and the trauma they’ve just experienced. I try to help them by lightening the mood, and maybe giving them a laugh or two to make them feel better.” In his off-hours, Sam works on building his Star Wars Lego collection, and also enjoys puzzles and video games.
