Tony Silva
When I was a kid, I was fascinated with cars, trailers, trucks, basically anything with wheels that I could drive. In school, I focused on automotive mechanics, but I quickly realized I didn’t love getting dirty every single day. Because of that, I decided to start my career in retail management, running stores for companies like IGA, Buy-Low Foods, and Canadian Tire. After having children, I transitioned into the RV Industry, where I managed parts and service operations for various dealerships. Having spent so much time in the field, I eventually challenged the Red Seal exam and passed, officially becoming a Red Seal RV Technician. To help give back, I also sat on the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) at Okanagan College for three years, working to improve the apprenticeship programs offered to incoming technicians.
Outside of work, I love watching my sons play basketball; wone plays for his high school team, and the other plays at the university level, where he actually holds the record for the most blocks in U Sports history. As a proud dad of two players, I served as president of North Langley Basketball for five years and coached both of my sons early in their sports careers.
In my free time, I also enjoy camping, working on trailers, and keeping my lawn perfectly cut.
