Marlene Matthews
It would be hard to find a less typical career path leading to collision repair shop manager than the one Marlene Matthews followed. As a Second Lieutenant with the Canadian Military Reserves, she taught survival skills, canoeing and marksmanship to cadets. She is a certified First Responder, zoom-boom operator and Bobcat operator. Her certification in confined space rescue made her a valuable addition to Houston, BC’s Volunteer Fire Department. On top of all that, she worked as a wedding and family photographer. Marlene’s Craftsman connection began in 2017, when she had a vehicle in for repair at one of our shops and learned it was looking for help. In five years she rose from Customer Service Rep to Estimator and finally, in June of 2023, to Manager of our Queensway location. “Be kind, be patient, be strong,” advises Marlene. “Everyone has a story.” She certainly does.
