Craftsman Collision Aims to fill Courtesy Cars at their annual charity event.
On Saturday, September 30th from 1pm – 5pm, Craftsman Collision and Save-On-Foods are teaming up with The Salvation Army to ensure that no families go hungry this fall, by hosting a day long food drive. Craftsman Collision is pledging to match every item donated, which means that for every can donated by a participating customer, two cans of soup will make it onto a shelf at local Salvation Army Family Services units which serve individuals and families in need of assistance.
The Need for Food Drives
Recent reports suggest that 1 in 10 people in BC live in poverty and food insecurity impacts more than half a million British Columbians. The sad reality is that 1 in 5 BC kid’s lives in poverty..
Your donation of nutritious food items help The Salvation Army provide practical assistance and support to individuals and families and enables them to divert much needed funds to housing, heat and hydro, and other life essentials.
You can be a ‘Hero for Hope’ to a family struggling in poverty by partnering with us to provide much needed non-persishable items for your local Salvation Army food bank and meal centre. Plan to join us on Sept. 30th ( locations listed below) and help us meet the needs of our neighbors with your donation.
In 2016 Craftsman Collision’s ‘Make a Dent’ food drive campaign raised over $30,000.
Supporting the Food Drive
Upon entering participating locations, customers will receive a shopping list of ideal non-perishable food items to shop for and donate. The hope is that when the drive is complete, each location will have donated enough food to fill a Craftsman Collision courtesy car.
