Craftsman’s Food Drive helps fill Salvation Army’s pantry
Craftsman’s third annual Making a Dent Food Drive campaign last September 17th hit hunger right in the breadbasket, raising almost $25,000 in food and cash donations. A benefit for the Salvation Army, Making A Dent asked shoppers on the south coast of BC to donate items or cash to specially decorated Craftsman courtesy cars parked outside major grocery stores including PriceSmart Foods and Save-on-Foods.
With food banks throughout the province experiencing trouble stocking their shelves, and fewer businesses and individuals able to part with food donations, many families have come to rely on the Sally Ann to put food on the table. We’re proud that Making a Dent has become one of our major annual charitable events.
Craftsman has also been a major sponsor of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Eagle Ridge Hosptal Foundation and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (see article below).
