The winning contest entry of “Got a Smashing Story”, submitted by Lynn Berndt, West Kelowna.
This is Lynn’s ‘smashing’ story:
“On Canada Day I had just come home and had parked my car at the top of my driveway. I went into the house to get ready to go out to a BBQ and then to see the fireworks. Once I was ready to go, I came out to get into my car, but my car was not where I had left it. I heard sirens and looked down the street to see my car in the ditch and on its side. My car had a mind of its own and decided to roll down my driveway, make a wide swooping turn, and continue down the street to only get caught up in the ditch and flip onto its side. The unusual part of the whole thing was that my e-brake was on. Needless to say, I still have my vehicle today and it gets me where I need to go even though it doesn’t look all that pretty. Thankfully no one was hurt or any property damaged.”
Lynn is the lucky winner of an all inclusive trip to the Mayan Riviera. This May she will be jetting off to the sun and surf courtesy of Craftsman Collision. Thank you to everyone who entered their stories.
