As a longtime supporter of the BCIT School of Transportation, Craftsman Collision was honoured to be a gold sponsor of the “Create Your Future By Air, Land, and Sea” event on April 17, 2014.
Colonel Chris Hadfield was the key note speaker who inspired over 1000 students from ten school districts across the Lower Mainland to reach higher in their world (Richmond, Vancouver, Delta, Burnaby, Langley, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Surrey, Maple Ridge, and New Westminster School Districts). “Students left the Hard Rock Café Theatre all smiles”, says Stacey Cook, Marketing Manager. “They were all truly inspired by Chris. He may have even inspired a few to be future astronauts. The most important message he had for the students was the importance of setting goals and the journey to achieving your goal(s). Celebrate all the little milestones and don’t ever think of yourself as a failure if you don’t reach your goal, as you are already a success for taking that first step.”
Col. Hadfield is one of Canada’s great achievers and we thank him for supporting BCIT’s School of Transportation. He has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration and role model for how to excel in one’s chosen profession while at the same time giving back to the Canadian and global community.
Thank you to BCIT for providing Craftsman Collision with the opportunity to support an event that inspired the future leaders of BC’s transportation industry.
