Craftsman Collision is proud to announce their support for the Burnaby Christmas Bureau this holiday season. It’s said that it’s better to give than to receive, but best of all is to give while having fun and spreading cheer along the way – and an opportunity to do just that is coming up this month. Both Craftsman locations in Burnaby at 3710 East 1st Avenue and 5609 Imperial Street are excited about participating in the Silent Auction for Fill a Stocking, Fulfill a Wish Gala on Saturday, November 22nd.
The bureau provides food and toys for low-income families in the Burnaby area. We could make cute analogies about busy elves trying to complete their to-do lists, but the reality is a bit more challenging than that: there are more people who need help and fewer donation dollars going around than in the past. This year, the bureau predicts that more people than ever will be turning to them for help and yet, with continued global economic uncertainty, reaching their fundraising goal could be a difficult task.
We encourage businesses and residents in Burnaby to support the bureau this holiday season. Please don’t underestimate the power of a child’s wish fulfilled – the sense of caring, community, possibility and, ultimately, joy that comes from a Christmas wish-come-true is immeasurable. It’s impossible to say how far and wide the positive “ripple impact” extends, but we do know this: when you create hope in a person, only good can follow.
