Craftsman Collision is excited to announce their continued support of the not for profit organization – Cambodian Children Against Starvation and Violence (CCASVA). President/CEO Bill Hatswell says, “He is very pleased to see and hear what an incredible difference our corporate sponsorship has made in the lives of at risk children in Cambodia since becoming a corporate sponsor several years ago.”
Craftsman’s $10,000 sponsorship will help fund a new Centre for Child development – to be named “CCD Pink” – for up to 100 young girls between the ages of 6-17 years. These young girls will come from the numerous slums surrounding Phnom Penh and many will come from distant provinces, to escape poverty, only to find themselves in a continuing cycle of abuse, exploitation and abject poverty.
CCD Pink will provide 24/7 accommodation, nutritious meals, health and dental care, counseling, vocational training, in house English classes (3 levels), computer class (3 levels) beautician/makeup class, sewing/embroidery and a Khmer Apsara dance class. All of the girls will attend primary, secondary or high school. Those without basic schooling will be invited to attend our emergency literacy class where they are taught basic Khmer reading and writing skills.
The new Centre is to be located in Phnom Penh on Road 271 (a major ring road) close to many schools, hospitals and markets.
